The Aggregate Demand/Supply Model: A Premature Requiem?

Abstract

Aggregate demand/aggregate supply models have recently been criticized as being inappropriate and/or incorrect for explaining macroeconomic theory to students. In this article we suggest that a properly defined aggregate demand/aggregate supply approach may be quite useful in comparing and contrasting the various theoretical explanations of the macroeconomy.
