Abstract

In Vietnam, much has been done recently at both the national and university levels in order to improve the quality of higher education. However, not many studies pay attention the importance of equipment and laboratories in universities. Especially, publication discussing about investment and usage of educational equipment and laboratory packages is hard to find. Obviously, laboratory and teaching equipment management plays an important role in training process at universities. Having an appropriate strategy for investing and utilizing educational equipment and laboratories will contribute to the success of a university in terms of improving the quality of learning and teaching. In this context, this paper presents a case study at Vinh university in Vietnam about teaching equipment and laboratories and discusses the tasks of management involved.
