Abstract

Reward management is an essential activity in human resource management, as it strongly influences the workforce quality and engagement, and thus the overall results of an organization. In this paper, the authors present some of the factors influencing the policies and practices in reward management from Romanian companies. For this purpose, we conducted a study on human resource management in Romanian companies with a focus on reward practices in 150 organizations from different fields of activity. Using the information obtained from the study, the paper reveals some of the specificity of reward management practices in Romanian companies.
