Abstract

This survey is about the relationship between exchange rate variability and international trade. It extensively covers the empirical work accumulated over the last ten years and presents the basic model behind it: Hooper and Kohlhagen (1978). It also briefly discusses some recent developments on the theoretical framework founding this relation.
