?Como promueven los academicos de posgrado la responsabilidad social en su trabajo?(How do graduate academics promote social responsibility in their work?)

Abstract

En el desarrollo del proyecto "Eticas Aplicadas y Educacion" de la Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, se considero relevante estudiar el tema de la responsabilidad social de las universidades. Este interes se fundamenta en la importancia de la mision que tradicionalmente se atribuye a las instituciones de educacion superior y en la existencia de un modelo empresarial que privilegia la capitalizacion del conocimiento. Frente a esta realidad se planteo a un grupo de academicos de posgrado la cuestion ?como promueven la responsabilidad social en su trabajo? Se trata de una investigacion cualitativa, en la que se utilizo un cuestionario de preguntas abiertas, y se empleo el analisis de contenido a traves del cual se identifico una gran diversidad de estrategias que se organizaron en cuatro categorias: Busqueda de pertinencia social, Relacion con los estudiantes, Etica y Valores, y Difusion del trabajo academico. Estos resultados se compararon con el analisis de literatura realizada, y de esa manera se constato la importancia del acercamiento entre la universidad y las comunidades. Tambien se enfatizo el rol que desempenan los profesores e investigadores de posgrado, con el fin de que, a traves de su trabajo, puedan dar respuesta a la diversidad de problemas sociales y puedan contribuir con la construccion de una sociedad mas justa e inclusiva.
