La contribución de los sectores productivos a la convergencia regional en España

Abstract

RESUMEN Este trabajo analiza la contribución de la composición sectorial de la producción y el empleo a la convergencia regional en España durante el período 1955-93. Trata de establecer la importancia que tiene la composición sectorial en el cambio en la velocidad de convergencia entre 1955-75, y 1977-93. El trabajo concluye que efectivamente la estructura sectorial influye sobre la convergencia regional y, por tanto, se estima la necesidad de una política regional con orientaciones sectoriales. ABSTRACT This work analyses the contribution to convergence in Spanish regions of product and employment sectoral composition, during 1955-93. It tries to determine the importance of that sectoral composition on the change in the convergence velocity between 1955-75 and 1977-93. It concludes that the sectoral composition affects the regional convergence, in a very important way, so that it justifies sectoral oriented regional policies.
