Abstract

(In view of the economic, technical and organizational changes of the last two decades the institution of the German works council has demonstrated a relatively high degree of continuity. Research on works councils has boomed during this time. New topics were found and old approaches were expanded to new areas. This article presents on outlook on the state of the art in the period since about 2000.)
