Abstract

Objetivo Estudiar las dinamicas de pobreza en Mexico bajo una temporalidad mas amplia que en la literatura actual. Metodologia Pseudopanel de Dang y Lanjouw (2013) con datos de encuestas de ingresos y gastos de los hogares. Limitaciones La metodologia define a la pobreza como un fenomeno unidimensional. Originalidad Este trabajo supone un esfuerzo por estudiar las dinamicas de pobreza con mediciones oficiales, sin la necesidad de datos panel. Conclusiones Cerca de la mitad de la poblacion estuvo en pobreza cronica por ingresos. Ademas, se identifica que los hogares mas afectados son aquellos con carencia por acceso a servicios basicos en la vivienda, por acceso a servicios de salud, rezago educativo o aquellos que han estado en situacion de pobreza durante cuatro anos o mas. Esto llama a la necesidad de politicas publicas dirigidas a un problema estructural.
