Abstract

[fre] Cet article considère le marché de la formation professionnelle des salariés dans une optique néoinstitutionnelle, comme un marché « construit » et « organisé », espace de transaction intermédiaire entre le marché pur et les formes de quasi-intégration. Ceci permet de tenir compte à la fois de la spécificité du produit formation et du fait avéré d'une croissance de la part des transactions marchan- des. L'externalisation croissante des dépenses de formation est expliquée d'abord en termes de coûts de transaction puis propose une vision dynamique faisant intervenir les rendements d'échelle croissants et le rôle des institutions. [eng] In this paper, we consider the On- the-Job Training market from a neo- institutionnalist point of view, as a constructed and organized market, a type of transaction which is different from pure market and from quasi-integration. By this mean, we take into account the specificity of training as a product as well as the steady growth of the share of market transactions. We refer first to transaction cost analysis to explain this growth. Then, we focus on increasing returns and institutions for a more dynamic explanation.
