Abstract

[eng] We study a unique data set giving the French annual income distribution from 1977 to 1994. We show that households from recent generations tend to have lower income and standard of living at the begining of the life cycle than older generations. Concerning infra-generational inequalities, we show that the variance of French income distribution tends to be contracyclical.
