Abstract

[eng] Productivity in french commercial banks : an essay of modelisation. . Using a simple modeling based on the functional cobb-Douglas form, we relate the productivity of banks, measured by the ratio of total credits to the number of workers, to three factors of production : labor, physical capital and financial resources of banks. Our results which are robust to various econometric tests support the hypothesis that the third factor is endogeneous : it's level is determined at the same time as the output and both depend on the level of labor and physical capital. [fre] La productivité dans la banque française. Un essai de modélisation. .
