Abstract

[fre] Histoire d'une innovation. Le cas d'un médicament. . [eng] The history of an innovation : the case of a drug . . For some time now, the investigation field covered by the economics of technical change has been expanding. Within this perspective, an ethnographical approach, applied to complexe empirical situations, is required to highlight the creation of new configurations for the production and dixtribution of scarce resources. In this article, we present the study of a technical innovation in the area of monoclonal antibodies. This innovation is the resuit of a biological researcher efforts to give a commercial value to the new discovery of a laboratory tool. We show how these efforts contribute in the end to establishing the concrete conditions for the emergence and « irreversibilization », in the area of biotechnolgies, of a new technico-economic network.
