Abstract

[eng] Environment, form of coordination and systems of legitimacy : a study of the concept of natural patrimony. . It is suggested an understanding of the problems of inefficiency and ineffectiveness of environmental policies as being the symptoms of a deeper trouble affecting the legitimacy of the interests and values attached to environmental conservation. A System of legitimacy being defined as a single structure combining arguments, tests and coordination forms, this article considers forms and problems of coordination underpinning different rival concepts of nature active in legitimation processes. A special investigation is devoted to the concept of « natural patrimony », the role of which is now leading for legitimating environmental conservation.
