Abstract

[eng] Physicans' payment schemes . This paper reviews some of the results from the economic literature on physicians' payment schemes. The main objective is to offer a critical perspective on the current payment system in France and to define possible avenues of reform. To do so, useful lessons are drawn from a comparison of the recent reforms carried out in some industrialised health care systems. . JEL classification : I11, I18 [fre] L'objet de cet article est de présenter une synthèse critique des principaux résultats obtenus dans les travaux économiques sur les modes de rémunération des médecins. Il vise surtout à susciter une réflexion constructive sur le mode actuel de rémunération des médecins en France et à préciser les contours et les conditions de réussite de son incontournable réforme. Dans cette perspective seront présentées les grandes lignes des réformes des pays industrialisés en matière de rémunération des médecins afin d'en tirer quelques enseignements pour la situation française. .
