Abstract

[eng] The impact of the electronic technics upon labour should be analysed, taking into account pre-existing adjustment mechanisms (skill-qualification forms, labour practices) which mediatize technical and social mutations. So, a certain flexibility of japanese firms facing new technologies would partly result form a decentralized adjustement of labour, insperable from the specific form of labour management in this country. However, the new constraints which appeared in recent years oblige numerous firms to adopt a humain resource policy — more willful and centralized than in the past — which will suppose to set up new patterns in labour adjustment.
