Training of Eco-skills for Development of Sustainable Business

Abstract

The paper illustrates the important role of managerial skills acquisition for sustainable society and design requirements based on the use of non-conventional energy business. Thinking sustainable is now changing the way we live, work and does business. The paper illustrates which skills are today in training and education system and which are necessary for the creation of "green-collar" jobs in both skilled and semi skilled occupations, in hands-on jobs in industries like renewable energy, water and energy efficiency as well as placing trainees into entry level positions who have sustainability embedded into their training package with employers who want to embrace climate change. The study also reveals the necessity of training for green skills in the three courses of study tailored to future business. The paper studies environmental perception skills students acquired currently upon completion of the first cycle, eco-skills necessary to develop sustainable business.
