Abstract

Mere protest is either a modernisation factor or else it remains entirely without effect: a counter movement to the destructive principle of capitalistic growth economy must confront the existing economic, political and day-to-day culture with something more. It must reveal that the supposed lack of alternative to the “business as usual” approach is one of many possibilities of the economy that put together practical experience of heterotopic real labour to form greater strategies and a theory of the transformation of modern society. That is exactly what is needed to formulate and make attractive a political counter programme to the history of promise of the growth economy.
