Abstract

Ein beträchtlicher Teil des von institutionellen Investoren (Pensionsfonds, Lebensversicherern u.a.) angelegten und an den internationalen Finanzmärkten bewegten Kapitals stammt aus Forderungen oder Besitz von Arbeitnehmern. Der vorliegende Beitrag erörtert die Frage, ob und inwieweit die sich aus solchem Arbeitnehmerkapital ergebenden Kontrollrechte genutzt werden könnten, um im Zuge der Finanzmarktglobalisierung und Finanzmarktorientierung der Unternehmen verloren gegangenes Terrain in der Vertretung der originären Arbeitnehmerinteressen (im Hinblick auf Einkommen und Arbeitsbedingungen) wiedergutzumachen. Die Möglichkeiten und Probleme kapitalbasierter Mitsprache werden auf drei Ebenen untersucht: auf der einzelwirtschaftlichen Unternehmensebene, auf der sektoralen Ebene der Finanzmarktregulierung und auf der gesamtwirtschaftlichen Ebene der Abstimmung von Zins- und Lohnpolitik.
