Do, do well and let it be known. Cultural communication for more sustainable governance

Abstract

Expertise is necessary to participate in the governance of a cultural institution. Co-optation methods, however, do not yet meet this need. If a board member knows what to do, the entire institution not only follows him, but respects his mission: culture for all. Evaluating and disseminating trends and results is an essential responsibility. We need to work on the statutes to make them effective and appropriate for the institutions, we need to reintroduce remuneration for board members to motivate them and be able to procure talents
