Abstract

The article discusses the evolution of criminology as a scientific discipline, emphasizing the importance of integrating theory with practice in the field of criminal justice. The aim of this scientific endeavour was to analyse contemporary challenges of crime, the impact of modern technologies on criminal investigations, and the role of academic institutions in training specialists. The article examines the unique context of the Republic of Moldova, emphasizing both the advancements and challenges within the criminal justice system.
