[Basic features and reforms of the health care system in Australia and New Zealand]

Abstract

Az egészségügyi rendszer reformja Magyarországon elkerülhetetlen. Ilyen horderejű strukturális reformok kidolgozásakor más országok működő rendszereinek és azok átalakítási kísérleteinek ismerete igen sok tanulsággal szolgálhat. E cikkben Ausztrália és Új-Zéland, egy .fontolva haladó. és egy radikális reformer ország e területet érintő reformtapasztalatait összegezzük. A két ország közegészségügyi intézményeinek összevetése, párhuzamba állítása azt is mutatja, hogy hasonló történelmi-társadalmi-gazdasági-fejlettségi szinten álló országok esetében is születhetnek jelentősen eltérő megoldási kísérletek a jószerivel azonos problémák leküzdésére. Közös ugyanakkor az a felismerés, hogy az erőforrásokkal való hatékony gazdálkodás követelménye az ilyen állami népjóléti intézmények esetében is alapvető jelentőségű.
