Egy kis növekedéselmélet - másképpen. A munka, a tőke és a technikai fejlődés parciális növekedési hatásáról

Abstract

A vitacikk a Cobb-Douglas- és a Solow-féle termelési függvények vizsgálatából kiindulva határozottan tagadja, hogy megállapítható a két legfontosabb termelési tényező, a tőke és a munka parciális részesedése a gazdasági növekedésben, valamint hogy e tényezők parciális részesedése a határtermelékenységi elmélet segítségével levezethető. Ez utóbbi azért sem alkalmas erre, mert nem a munka vagy a tőke parciális hozamát mutatja meg, hanem mindkét tényező együttes hozamának csökkenését. A szerző az évjáratmodell alkalmazásával elemzi több termelési tényező együttes növekedési hatását. Kiemelten kezeli a műszaki fejlődés szerepét, a gazdasági hatékonyság jelentőségét, ugyanígy az emberi tőke növekedési hatását. Azzal együtt, hogy a műszaki fejlődést alapvető jelentőségűnek tartja, azt is bemutatja, hogy bizonyos esetekben, más tényezők miatt, a termelékenység átmenetileg jóval gyorsabb ütemben is növekedhet, mint a műszaki fejlődés. A szerző megkülönböztetett figyelmet szentel a gazdasági hatékonyságnak. Hangsúlyozza, hogy számos országban a termelési szint elmaradásában az alacsony hatékonyságnak nagyobb szerepe volt, mint a lassú technikai fejlődésnek. A cikk mintegy sűrítve tárgyalja a gazdasági növekedés tárgykörének vitára késztető elméleti problémáit. Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: D24, D33, D43, E52, E62.
