Abstract

A szerző Magyarország EU-tagságának első évtizedét tekinti át összegző jelleggel, vagyis a nagyszámú, korábban közreadott részelemzés eredményeit ismertnek véve. A sikerek, az elszalasztott lehetőségek és kudarcok számbavétele után a szerző a teljesség és a véglegesség igénye nélkül mérleget készít. Alapvető meglátása, hogy Magyarországnak az EU-n belül lényegesen nagyobb lehetősége volt és lesz is a fenntartható fejlődésre, mint ha a "kívül tágasabb" felé venné az irányt, és a külgazdasági stratégia sikerét az Európán kívüli térségek részarány-növelésével közelítené.
