A kötelező tartalékráta szabályozásának átalakulása
[Changes in the regulation of the obligatory reserve rate of banks]

Abstract

A kötelező tartalékráta szerepe az elmúlt évtizedekben többször is változott. Kezdetben a bankok likviditását és fizetőképességét volt hivatott biztosítani, majd a hangsúly fokozatosan áttevődött a monetáris szabályozásban betöltött funkciójára. A kötelező tartalékráta ugyanis a pénzmultiplikátor egyik tényezőjeként közrejátszik a pénzmennyiség meghatározásában. Ez a szerep azonban napjainkban egyre inkább elhalványul. Világszerte megfigyelhető a kötelező tartalékráta csökkentésének, bizonyos országokban eltörlésnek tendenciája. Több érv szól amellett, hogy ezt a gyakorlatot hazánkban is követni kellene.
