Ekonomik Büyüme ve Enflasyonist Baskının Grevlere Etkisi: Türkiye Örneği

Abstract

Sendikaların temel kuruluş nedeni arasında yer alan işçinin sosyal ve ekonomik haklarının korunması meselesi grev faaliyetlerinin önemli bir amacı olmuştur. Bu doğrultuda sosyal ve ekonomik göstergelerden gayrı safi yurtiçi hasıla ve enflasyonun grevlere olan etkisi ampirik bir çalışma vasıtasıyla tahlil edilmiştir. Uygulanan ampirik çalışmanın metodolojisi ekonometrik zaman serisi yöntemlerinden ARDL Sınır Testi Yaklaşımıdır. Bu bağlamda ekonometrik modelin bağımlı değişkeni grev faaliyetlerini temsilen grevde kaybolan işgünü sayısı; bağımsız değişkenler ise kişi başı reel gayrı safi yurtiçi hasıla ve enflasyonu temsilen tüketici fiyat endeksidir (TÜFE). Çalışmanın bulgularına göre %95 güven seviyesinde değişkenler arasında uzun dönemli ilişkinin var olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Uzun dönem katsayılarına göre kişi başı reel GSYH’de meydana gelen %1’lik bir artış grevde kaybolan işgünü sayısını %1.043 oranında; enflasyonda meydana gelen %1’lik bir artış ise grevde kaybolan işgünü sayısını %0.982 oranında artırmaktadır. Tam logaritmik modele istinaden, kişi başı reel GSYH’nin grevler üzerindeki etkisinin bir miktar daha fazla olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
