A Meta-Analysis of Service Science Research

Abstract

Purpose: Research in the area of services is more advance now than what it was perceived in the past. Services have already been studied from different perspectives including but not limited to marketing and management. Comparatively fewer studies have been conducted from broader perspective of understanding about service science field. Methodology: This paper incorporates extant marketing, management andother related disciplinesliterature, industry reports, and practical experience reflections to highlight the significance of service science research. Findings: Thepaperconcludes by outlining the opportunities associated with the development of service science, noting future research directions and discussing academic and managerial implications.Recommendations: This paper contributes to the body of knowledge of service science and helps to understand the gaps in the literature.
