Abstract

In order to identify profiles of well-being of the population of Córdoba, Argentina, this paper studies the variables that affect the probability of a home of being or not being poor, using a logistic regression analysis. The measure used for the identification of the poor homes is the absolute poverty line and data used are provided by the Permanent Homes Survey for October of 2001. Its contribution to the study of the poverty problem is that it provides tools of utility for the design of policies destined to palliate this flagellum.
