Abstract

Some of facial acupressure learning media does not have monitoring system for learning evaluation so that the teacher could only predict the position accuracy of facial acupressure based on individual experience and assumption. This research aimed to provide monitoring system of facial acupressure learning media using mannequin head prototype and smartphone application. The results showed that the success rate of students who have practiced facial acupressure by looking at the display of monitoring system and got teaching repetition was 95.23% while it was 61.12% for those who have not. This indicates the display of monitoring system could help students to remember the position of facial acupressure and improved their confidence. There was no significant difference between the success rate of students who got no teaching repetition whether they have practiced facial acupressure by looking at the display of monitoring system (85.05%) or not (84.03%). The use of monitoring system in facial acupressure learning media is one of the alternatives to improve the competence of the students.
