Abstract

The maquiladora industry in the north frontier between the Unites States of America and Mexico, especially in Baja California, has been examined from different perspectives. Either from the point of view of employment generation, the export system, competitiveness and from the technological condition. It has also been examined from the sociodemographic area and from women participation. In this exhibit, Maquiladorias will be approached from the evaluation of performance of the operative personnel. In a more specific way, from feedback, which allows us to maximize and rate more accurately improved quality in workers. It might seem like the evaluation of performance has a limited function. However, this provides benefits both to the individual and the organization. The main purpose of this exhibit consists of the analysis of the degree of formality on evaluation systems in the performance of Maquiladoras and the feedback derived from it, both from the worker and company. The methodological part of this work is of a theoretical and empirical nature. The theoretical par develops a conceptual framework regarding the evaluation of the performance emphasized in the benefits of feedback. Expressed in an empirical manner, predominantly quantitatively, this was based on the enforcement of a poll applied to the Human Resources managers of 67 different maquiladoras in Mexicali, B.C.
