A Competividade e a Diversificação da Fileira Florestal Portuguesa

Abstract

Apesar da conjuntura desfavorável verificada após o ano de 2008, a orientação exportadora da Fileira Florestal para o mercado externo continuou a expandir-se. Este trabalho aprofunda o estudo da sua orientação exportadora e diversificação, e fornece uma análise comparada de competitividade a nível mundial, recorrendo a um conjunto vasto de instrumentos, como as quotas de mercado no mundo e as vantagens comparativas reveladas. Em 2010, a Fileira Florestal tornou-se o quarto «sector» nacional com maior vantagem comparativa. A nível mundial, Portugal é sexto neste ranking e aufere do 22.º lugar na quota mundial de exportação. A delimitação estatística do que intitulámos a «Fileira Florestal», resulta de um trabalho criterioso de selecção e validação do contexto e da importância de cada produto, ao nível mais desagregado da Nomenclatura Combinada (NC) do Comércio Internacional, de onde resultou uma lista de 413 códigos da NC-8
