Abstract

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the process of community empowerment in the use of biogas, as well as to determine the effect of community empowerment on the long-term viability of biogas as a sustainable source of energy. The quantitative descriptive research method was used to evaluate the empowerment program using the logic model approach. Multiple linear regression tests are used to analyze survey data collection techniques and data. In the study, 140 people participated as biogas users of livestock dung who have used biogas for at least one year. The findings revealed an evaluation of community empowerment in the good category input process (3.8), very good category planning (4.08), very good category implementation (4.11), monitoring and medium category assistance (3.49), and output in the good category (3,8). The multiple linear regression test results obtained the value of the equation Y = 3.690 + 0.200X 1 + 0.42X 2 – 0.38X 3 + e. The results of the F test showed the value of F count > F table (3.061 > 2.67). This study concludes that community empowerment in the use of biogas has been successful and it has an impact on the community’s long-term use of biogas.
