La Crisis Imposible: Tragedia En Tres Actos

Abstract

Han transcurrido ya dos años desde el comienzo de la crisis que puso fin a uno de los periodos más largos de crecimiento de la economía española. Cuando en agosto de 2007 el Banco Central Europeo y la Reserva Federal se vieron obligados a intervenir con inyecciones masivas de dinero, el desconcierto cundió en las filas de los apologistas del capitalismo: según la teoría económica oficial la crisis era simplemente…. ¡imposible! Tras veinticinco años de éxitos en los que asistimos incluso a la disolución de la Unión Soviética, y en los que la socialdemocracia abrazó sin complejos no ya la defensa del sistema burgués sino el programa neo – liberal ¿no estaba claro que el capitalismo era la única opción viable? ¡Incluso los manuales de economía se permitían el lujo de prestar escasa atención al estudio de los ciclos y la crisis económicas! … ¡Si eran cosa del pasado!
