A new approach to quantify the benefit to air travelers resulting from airport capacity expansion

Abstract

This paper proposes a utility-based methodology to quantify passengers’ benefit resulting from airlines’ adaptation and improvement of service after airport expansion. A numerical example is given to demonstrate its applications in practice.
