Abstract

This paper examines the impact of digital finance on green technological innovation from the dual perspectives of market and governmental. Our findings suggest digital finance significantly fosters green technological innovation through mechanisms such as market factor flows and environmental regulation performance. Further examination indicates that digital finance may lead to a "patent bubble trap". Heterogeneity analysis suggests that promoting government data openness and strengthening intellectual property protection can amplify the positive impact of digital finance on green technological innovation. This paper provides valuable insights into enhancing the functionality of digital finance and promoting the green transformation of the economy.
