How to implement a winning strategy

Author

  • Devlin, Godfrey

Abstract

In this article, the author describes how the process of strategy formulation can often falter and fall when implementation fails to deliver corporate expectations. There is no point in expending scarce resources on developing a corporate strategy if it fails through lack of proper implementation. Corporate managers spend most of their time implementing strategy with little support from academic or business interests. To have a successful strategy, top management must have the faith to back it and drive it through. This article provides a bridge between formulation and implementation, i.e., theory and practice.
