Abstract

Jean-Marie Hiltrop considers the economic, demographic and technological changes that are currently affecting European organization, paying particular attention to the European employment scene. He then analyses the implications for human resource management, highlighting the internationalization of business alliances, the movement towards greater decentralization of decision-making, the changing values and expectations of the work force, and their effects on the management of human resources. European corporations are taking actions to meet these new challenges.
