Expectations, outcomes and attitude change of study abroad students

Abstract

•Pre-Post data collected across four short-term study abroad programs.•Results support expectation theory of attitude change.•Results question use of contact theory in a tourism context.•Practical recommendations are made for developing experiential learning opportunities.
