Urban transport in Latin America: some considerations on its equity and efficiency

Abstract

Sugiere medidas para reducir la congestion causada por automoviles particulares a fin de aumentar la fluidez de los sistemas de transporte publico, mejorando el nivel de servicio ofrecido por estos, ya que en terminos generales este es el medio de transporte urbano mas usado por los estratos de menores ingresos en las zonas urbanas de America Latina. Analiza la relacion entre el ingreso familiar y el gasto consagrado al transporte publico urbano en las ciudades de America Latina.
