Effect Of Export On Employment

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of export and non-export sales of top 1000 exporter firm in Turkey on employment. The results suggest that 1% increase in export increases total employment by 0.20%. Export increase also provide positive contribution to blue and white collar employment of these firms. The more domestics sales, the more employment. The employment effect of export in labor intensive sectors is greater than that in capital intense sectors.
