Transacciones en línea y bienestar financiero

Abstract

El bienestar financiero, además de ser el objetivo final de la inclusión financiera, es junto con el acceso, uso y calidad, una de las dimensiones de dicho concepto. Pese a lo anterior, aún son escasas las mediciones o las evaluaciones de sus determinantes, especialmente en un contexto de crecimiento de los servicios financieros digitales. Por ello, utilizando los datos de la Encuesta de Apropiación Digital del Centro Nacional de Consultoría de 2020, se da un paso en este sentido. A partir del cálculo de un índice de bienestar financiero, se encuentra un efecto positivo y significativo de la transaccionalidad en línea sobre dicho índice. Así mismo, características sociodemográficas como la edad, el sexo y la composición del hogar también resultan relevantes para explicar este indicador. De forma complementaria, se encuentra que la adopción de internet para realizar operaciones financieras está relacionada con las aptitudes digitales que los individuos perciben tener.
