El modelo de ciclo y crecimiento de Richard Goodwin. Una evaluación empírica para Colombia

Abstract

El objetivo del presente trabajo es exponer y evaluar lahipótesis del crecimiento cíclico de Richard Goodwin. Seutilizan datos colombianos para contrastar los supuestos delmodelo. Se encontró que a nivel cualitativo, la dinámica delas variables de estado en el espacio de fases muestra ciertacorrespondencia con las predicciones teóricas, al menospara dos períodos: 1957-1966 y 1968-1974. Los resultadoscuantitativos rechazan los supuestos del modelo y los modelosempíricos no describen el verdadero proceso generador delos datos.
