Le ralentissement du commerce mondial annonce un changement de tendance

Abstract

Le ralentissement du commerce mondial ne s’explique pas seulement par l’atonie relative de la croissance mondiale et de l’investissement. Il marque aussi la fin d'une phase de développement extraordinairement rapide de l'éclatement des processus de production entre différents pays, voire différents continents. Ces dernières années, le fractionnement mondial des chaînes de valeur n'a plus été l'accélérateur d'échanges qu’il a été avant la crise. Après tout, ce processus ne peut, par nature, constituer qu’une phase transitoire appelée à se tempérer tôt ou tard. Le ralentissement des échanges mondiaux reflèterait alors l'entrée dans une nouvelle ère de la mondialisation.
