Bildungsleistungen verbessern, Chancengerechtigkeit erhöhen

Abstract

Die Bildungsleistungen deutscher Schüler*innen sinken, die Bildungsungleichheit ist hoch. Dabei sind Bildungsleistungen ein entscheidender Faktor für wirtschaftlichen Wohlstand. Reformvorschläge für ein höheres Leistungsniveau bestehen darin, einen klaren Fokus auf die Vermittlung von Basiskompetenzen zu legen, Bildungsqualität durch jährliche deutschlandweite Tests zu sichern, den Schulen mehr Handlungsfreiheit zu geben und Föderalismus und Verwaltung effektiver zu gestalten. Reformvorschläge für größere Chancengerechtigkeit bestehen darin, Schulen in herausfordernden Lagen gezielt zu unterstützen, benachteiligte Kinder durch Nachhilfe- und Mentoring-Programme zu fördern, frühkindliche Bildungsangebote für benachteiligte Kinder und ihre Familien auszubauen und die sprachliche Entwicklung früh zu testen und zu fördern.
