Der »Messe Index«: Ergebnisse 2017 und Ausblick 2018

Abstract

Der »Messe Index« basiert auf den Daten des ifo Konjunkturtests und legt für Unternehmen, die ihre Produkte auf internationalen Konsum- und Investitionsgütermessen in Deutschland ausstellen können, die wirtschaftliche Verfassung offen. Mittels einer Sonderfrage im Berichtskreis des ifo Konjunkturtests kann zudem zwischen Unternehmen mit und ohne Messebeteiligung unterschieden werden. Die Ergebnisse des »Messe Index« für 2017 zeigen, dass ausstellende Unternehmen eine bessere wirtschaftliche Verfassung aufweisen als Nicht-Aussteller. Dabei profitieren insbesondere kleinere, aber auch mittlere Unternehmen von Messebeteiligungen.
