Der »Messe Index«: Ein neuer Indikator für Messen in Deutschland

Abstract

Das ifo Institut hat in Kooperation mit der Messe Frankfurt neue wirtschaftliche Kennzahlen für Unternehmen der Konsum- und Investitionsgütermessen in Deutschland entwickelt: Der »Messe Index«, der sich aus dem »Messe Index Konsum« und dem »Messe Index Invest« zusammensetzt, legt die wirtschaftliche Verfassung der Unternehmen offen, die ihre Produkte auf internationalen Konsum- und Investitionsgütermessen in Deutschland ausstellen können. Die Messe Indices basieren auf den Daten des ifo Konjunkturtests. Die ersten Ergebnisse zeigen, dass ausstellende Unternehmen eine bessere wirtschaftliche Verfassung aufweisen. Dabei profitieren insbesondere kleinere, aber auch mittlere Unternehmen von einer Messebeteiligung.
