Branchen im Blickpunkt: Der deutsche Markt für ökologische Lebensmittel

Abstract

Die Nachfrage nach Lebensmitteln, die gemäß ökologischen Richtlinien erzeugt werden, wächst kontinuierlich. Die heimische Erzeugung kann mit dieser Entwicklung nicht Schritt halten. Dafür stellen zu wenige Bauern auf eine ökologische Landwirtschaft um. Für die Marktversorgung in Deutschland waren deshalb 2010 zu ca. 50% Importe notwendig. Die deutschen Einfuhren von Bio-Waren haben sich innerhalb der letzten drei Jahre nahezu verdoppelt. Der Deutsche Bauernverband hat indessen zum klaren Ziel erklärt, den Wachstumsmarkt Bio-Nahrungsmittel nicht den Importeuren überlassen zu wollen; er fordert hierfür Verlässlichkeit bei agrarpolitischen Rahmenbedingungen sowie regionalen Bezugspartnerschaften.
