Altersteilzeit und Altersversorgung in der Metall- und Elektroindustrie

Abstract

Der Arbeitgeberverband der Metall- und Elektroindustrie (Gesamtmetall) beauftragte das ifo Institut, Informationen über die Umsetzung vorhandener Regelungen zur Altersteilzeit und zur betrieblichen Altersversorgung sowie über die Vorstellungen und Interessen der Unternehmen zu erheben. Die Umfrage zeigte, dass die organisierten Unternehmen der M+E-Industrie die bisherige und noch wirksame Politik des vorzeitigen Übergangs in den Ruhestand genutzt haben, um Beschäftigung abzubauen oder zu verjüngen. Die Akzeptanz der Altersteilzeit als vorherrschende Form dieses zumindest faktisch frühzeitigen Übergangs in die Nacherwerbsphase ist bei den Unternehmen und den Arbeitnehmern sehr hoch.
