Westdeutsche Industrie plant nach drei Jahren rückläufiger Investitionen für 2005 einen Anstieg von 4%

Abstract

Nach den Ergebnissen des aktuellen ifo Investitionstests hat das westdeutsche verarbeitende Gewerbe zwar seine Investitionen in 2004 - entgegen den ursprünglichen Absichten - nochmals gekürzt. Für 2005 ist aber ein Anstieg von 4% geplant. Vorrangiges Investitionsmotiv ist in diesem Jahr die Erweiterung, dabei aber weniger die klassische Erweiterung, d.h. der Ausbau der Kapazitäten bestehender Produktionsprogramme, als vielmehr die Erweiterung bzw. Änderung der Produktpalette. Von den 62% der Unternehmen, die für 2005 Erweiterungsinvestitionen planen, wollen fast zwei Drittel in derartige Umstrukturierungsmaßnahmen investieren.
