Divergierende Entwicklungsprozesse im deutschen Großhandel

Abstract

Der Großhandel erzielte 2003 nach einem Anstieg von 1,2% gegenüber dem Vorjahr einen Umsatz in der Größenordnung von 573 Mrd. €. Dabei expandierten die Umsätze des Produktionsverbindungshandels mit einem Plus von 1,8% wesentlich stärker als der Konsumgütergroßhandel, der einen Umsatzanstieg von 0,5% verzeichnete. Für 2004 ist für den Produktionsverbindungshandel vor allem angesichts steigender Ausrüstungsinvestitionen mit einem beschleunigten Umsatzanstieg zu rechnen. Die Firmen konnten ihren Umsatz in den ersten drei Monaten im Vergleich zur gleichen Zeit des Vorjahres um 4% steigern. Für den Konsumgütergroßhandel ist für das gesamte Jahr 2004 allenfalls eine Stagnation der nominalen Umsätze zu erwarten.
