Die Höhle in der Eiger-Nordwand - Eine Anmerkung zum Mainzer Modell und zum Wohlfahrtsstaat an sich

Abstract

Die Regierung hat die Ausweitung des Mainzer Modells auf ganz Deutschland beschlossen und sich somit zu einer aktivierenden Sozialpolitik bekannt, die darauf basiert, dass statt des Nichtstuns die Arbeit subventioniert wird. Allerdings kann das Mainzer Modell das Problem der Arbeitslosigkeit nur lindern, es bietet aber keine Basis für eine rationale Lohnpolitik. Das ifo Institut schlägt dagegen ein dreistufiges Modell vor, dass das amerikanische Modell des Earned Income Tax Credit an die deutschen Verhältnisse anpasst.
